While these are all strong claims, they are claims that are entirely unsupported by proven science. Therefore, while PhenterPlex may deliver some benefits to those who use it, these benefits may not be related to any of the product claims.
With that in mind, the following were the ingredients in the PhenterPlex formula when this review was created: Calcium, Potassium, Standardized 60% Hydroxycitric Acid Tamarind (fruit rind) Extract.
The recommended dose is to take 2 capsules with a full glass of water, 30 minutes to 2 hours before meals, two times daily or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. For optimal results, this product should be taken for 30 – 60 days and used in conjunction with regular exercise and a healthy calorie-conscious diet.
The notable ingredient in PhenterPlex is Hydroxycitric Acid, also known as HCA. Scientists have found that HCA that has been extracted from the Tamarind fruit supports reduced liver enzymes that metabolize sugar and carbs into fats. This results in the decreased formation of new fat cells and converts this sugar into energy and transforms the fat into lean muscle. HCA also corresponds with increased serotonin levels that suppress appetite, lowering cravings and lowering cortisol (stress hormone).
Unfortunately, there is no evidence that HCA has an effects on appetite and satiety. while there is some evidence that it can speed up metabolism, there is no proof that it can reduce fat. In other words, PhenterPlex is an unproven dietary supplement for weight loss. There is no guarantee that taking it will be beneficial to your weight loss goals.
What’s more, it should be noted that while this product is stimulant-free, this doesn’t mean that it is without the potential for side effects. Digestive tract discomfort, headaches and nausea are all possible.
If you want to take PhenterPlex, run this by your doctor and see what they think. It’s always worth it to consult a medical physician before taking any over-the-counter product, especially if you intend to use it long-term.
When this review was written, each bottle of PhenterPlex costs $24.95 at Amazon.
