SkinnyFen is an over-the-counter dietary supplement for weight loss. The claim is that it is an appetite suppressant and its main function is to control and curb appetite. It is also said to be a strong fat burner, as well as a mood enhancer. Due to the name of this product and the fact that its tablets are white with blue specks, it was no doubt designed as an OTC alternative to popular prescription diets drugs, such as Phentermine.

At the time this review was written, SkinnyFen was available on Amazon and is sold as a 3 month supply (three bottles containing 60 tablets each) for $98.95.

Also, when this review was written, an ingredients list for this product could not be found. Even Amazon didn’t have an image of the supplement facts. The only image provided is of the front of the bottle, which states that the product contains “pharmaceutical grade ingredients.” Without knowing exactly what substances have been used in this product’s formula, there is no way to prove that any claims made about this product are true. There is also no way of knowing if it is effective or safe.

That being said, the dosage instructions have been provided for SkinnyFen. Users are directed to take 1 or 2 tablets per day. One tablet should be taken in the morning and the other at lunch or the early afternoon. It isn’t specified if the pills should be taken before, with or after a meal.

In addition, on the Amazon page, users are cautioned to take the product only as directed and not to exceed the recommended dosage or combine SkinnyFen with another product. Users are also warned not to take this product in the evening because it could lead to sleep problems.

Even without an ingredients list, the fact that this product could result in sleep difficulties or insomnia suggests that it contains stimulants and likely a notable amount of them. While it cannot be proven without an official ingredients list, it is the opinion of this review that SkinnyFen likely contains more than one stimulant and that one of the stimulants is probably caffeine.

If this is true, in addition to insomnia, other potential side effects one may experience while taking this product include, but are not necessarily limited to: jitters, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, mood changes, headache, digestive upset, etc.

Since there is very limited information about SkinnyFen, it would be better to avoid this product and to consult with your doctor about finding a better weight loss aid to help you achieve your weight loss goals in a safe and healthy manner.
