Atrafen ThermoDrops is a non-prescription liquid formula supplement designed to support weight management and appetite suppression. It is marketed by its creator, Nutratech, as a “Sublingual Weight Loss Aid”.
This product supposedly helps to curb hunger, boost metabolism, increase energy, mental focus and improves mood without jitters. Additionally, Atrafen ThermoDrops are said to help increase absorption and bio-availability, delivering “serious results” compared to standard pill-based dietary supplements for weight loss and weight management.
When this review was written, the proprietary formula was composed of the following: Irvingia Gabonensis, Raspberry Ketones, Aloe Vera, Acai Palm Extract, Caffeine, Green Tea, Kelp Extract, Resveratol, Apple Cider Vinegar Powder. Each serving size (25 drops) contains 195 mg of the proprietary formula.
The suggested use is to take 25 drops 30 minutes before your first meal. The drops should be placed under your tongue and held there for 1 to 2 minutes before swallowing. This same process should be repeated with another 25 drops, 30 minutes prior to your last meal of the day. It is important that you do not exceed the recommended daily dose (a total of 50 drops).
On the plus side, there are some benefits to take drops instead of pill. For starters, you won’t have trouble swallowing. Secondly, bloating and gastrointestinal issues that may result from swallowing pills, will also not be a problem
However, there is no clinical proof that taking Atrafen ThermoDrops is any more effective for weight loss than taking a pill product with similar ingredients. What’s more, there is no scientific proof that the drops will aid with weight management, either.
Another downside to this formula is that there is no knowing how much of each ingredient has been used in the formula. Also, since it does contain both caffeine and green tea containing caffeine, this means it contains stimulants. Individuals who are sensitive to stimulants may experience unpleasant effects, including jitters, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, etc.
That being said, due to their being only 195 mg of the proprietary formula per serving and several ingredients in the formula, it is unlikely that there is a large dose of caffeine per serving.
Overall, there is not guarantee that taking these drops will be of any benefit to your weight loss goals. Still, do speak with your healthcare provider, if you are thinking about making them a part of your weight management regimen. This is especially if you are pregnant, are nursing a baby or have a known medical condition.
