PHEN-MAXX 37.5 is an over-the-counter (OTC) weight loss diet pill from MD Pharma. This dietary supplement was designed to give dieters an edge when they’re seeking to shed extra pounds. It has been formulated to function as both an advanced appetite suppressant and as an energy booster and thermogenic fat burner. The formula is supposedly sourced from clinically proven ingredients.
When this review was written, those ingredients included: Green Coffee Bean Extract, Garcinia Cambogia, Green Tea Extract, Raspberry Ketone, Glucomannan, African Mango, Grapefruit Extract, Acai Berry Extract, and Apple Cider Vinegar Extract. All of these ingredients made up the PHEN-MAXX 37.5 proprietary formula, of which there is 670 mg per 1 capsule serving.
Looking at this list, there is only one ingredient that has demonstrated effectiveness to help with fat burning. This is green tea. That being said, it hasn’t been clinically proven for weight loss, nor have any of the other ingredients in the above list. Moreover, studies involving green tea’s effectiveness involved the use of 500 mg which is far more than the amount of green tea used in this product. That being said, the other most notable and supposed fat burner in this formula is green coffee bean.
On the other hand, Acai berry and raspberry ketone may provide antioxidant benefits, while African mango, garcinia cambogia and glucomanan are believed to help with appetite suppression. As previously stated, not a single one of these ingredients have ever been proven effective or safe.
With that in mind, the suggested use is to take 1 capsule on an empty stomach 30- 60 minutes prior to lunch and 1 capsule 30 – 60 minutes before dinner. The pills should be taken with 8 ounces of water. Users are cautioned not to exceed the recommended dose. The product is meant for healthy adults. Children under the age of 18, pregnant or nursing women or anyone with a known medical condition should first consult with their doctor before taking PHEN-MAXX 37.5.
As for side effects, while most healthy individuals shouldn’t have any problems taking PHEN-MAXX 37.5, it is still worth mentioning that digestive upset may be an issue, due to the use of glucomanan and apple cider vinegar. Furthermore, this is not a stimulant-free product. Both green tea and green coffee bean contain caffeine. Even small amounts of caffeine may be too much for some people who are sensitive to the substance. This is important to note, particularly because users are instructed to take one of the pills before dinner, which may increase the risk of sleeplessness or other stimulant-related side effects for some people.
When this review was written, a single bottle of PHEN-MAXX 37.5 cost $59.98 at Amazon.
