Phen375 (Phentemine 375) is a non-prescription diet pill that has been developed to work as an appetite suppressant and a fat burner to help a person lose weight. It is made by RDK Global, a company based in the U.S., and is marketed as an over-the-counter (OTC) alternative to the popular diet drug, Phentermine.
According to the official product website, Phen375 “consists of every property that has made Phentermine so effective in promoting weight loss”. However, the manufacturers of the diet pill claim that unlike the prescription drug, Phen375 does not have the negative side effects associated with Phentermine.
The claim is that the ingredients in Phen375 suppress the appetite, boost metabolism and break down fatty tissue. They also work to lower the body’s ability to store fat and help control cravings. Supposedly, those who take this diet pill lose 3 to 5 pounds a week, or up to 20 pounds a month, on average.
The Phen375 formula is made up of the following ingredients: Calcium (carbonate), Chromium (pikolinate), and a propriety blend consisting of: L-Carnitine (l-tartrate), Citrus Aurantium, Caffeine Anhydrous, Cayenne (capsicum), Dendrobium nobile Extract, and Coleus Forskolii Root PE.
Some of these ingredients, particularly Caffeine, L-Carnitine and Capsicum, are found in many OTC weight loss aids. Caffeine is believed to function as an energy booster and helps to control hunger. Some believe that L-Carnitine can mimic the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), which aids in releasing stored body fat into the bloodstream, so it can be used as energy. Essentially, the theory is that it can help your body burn existing fat, easier. Capsicum is said to increase body temperature, which enables the body to burn calories at a faster rate, a process known as thermogenesis. In addition, Citrus Aurantium (sympathomimetic amine) is a natural stimulant believed to supercharge metabolism.
There is not enough scientific evidence to prove that any of the ingredients within the Phen375 formula are effective for helping a person lose weight. Furthermore, taking this product could lead to negative side effects, due to the fact that it contains more than one stimulant. Some of these effects may include: dizziness, insomnia, mood changes, jitters, anxiety, increased heart rate, and increased blood pressure.
Although Phen375 is said to be manufactured in labs approved by the FDA and even though it is made by a reputable U.S.-based company, this does not mean that the product is effective for weight loss, nor does it mean that it is necessarily safe to take. A product that is manufactured in an FDA approved lab and a product that has been approved by the FDA is not the same thing.
At the time this review was written, a single bottle of Phen375, containing 30 tablets, costs $69.95. Before taking this diet pill, it would be wise to first speak with your healthcare provider.
