Phen375 review
Our User Rating

Phen375 is a non-prescription diet pill that has been developed to work as an appetite suppressant and a fat burner to help a person lose weight.

Who Makes Phen375?

Though some third-party sites point to a company called RDK Global pharmaceuticals as being the company behind Phen375, that name is not mentioned on the official website for the product.  The only company name mentioned on that site is in the Terms of Use page on the site, which refers to the owner of the site and the copyright to everything it contains as Shippitsa ltd.  It is unclear as to which company is behind the product, if they are both involved in some way, or if the brand has changed hands.

What is this Diet Pill?

A few years ago, the official product website used to claim that Phen375 “consists of every property that has made Phentermine so effective in promoting weight loss”. However, the marketing language has been cleaned up quite a bit since that time, so that it no longer pretends to mirror the effects of a prescription obesity drug.  Instead, it makes strong claims about the types of advantage dieters will experience, but no longer associates them with the types of effects an obesity prescription would provide.

How is Phen375 Supposed to Work?

The claim is that the ingredients in Phen375 suppress the appetite, boost metabolism and break down fatty tissue. They also work to lower the body’s ability to store fat and help control cravings. The original claim was that those who take this diet pill lose 3 to 5 pounds a week, or up to 20 pounds a month, on average, though that claim – like the comparison with Phentermine, has been removed.

The Phen375 formula is made up of the following ingredients:

  • Calcium (carbonate)
  • Chromium (pikolinate)
  • L-Carnitine (l-tartrate)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous
  • Cayenne (capsicum)
  • Dendrobium Nobile Extract
  • Citrus Aurantium
  • Coleus Forskolii Root PE

Does This Diet Pill Work?

Some of these ingredients, particularly Caffeine, L-Carnitine and Capsicum, are found in many OTC weight loss aids. Caffeine is believed to function as an energy booster and helps to control hunger. Some believe that L-Carnitine can mimic the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), which aids in releasing stored body fat into the bloodstream, so it can be used as energy. Essentially, the theory is that it can help your body burn existing fat, easier.

Capsicum is said to increase body temperature, which enables the body to burn calories at a faster rate, a process known as thermogenesis. In addition, Citrus Aurantium (sympathomimetic amine) is a natural stimulant believed to supercharge metabolism. That said, it is associated with side effects and a doctor should be consulted before using a product that contains it.

Are There Side Effects from Phen375?

Taking this product could lead to negative side effects, likely mild to moderate and temporary, due to the fact that it contains more than one stimulant. Some of these effects may include:

  • Dizziness
  • Insomnia
  • Mood changes
  • Jitters
  • Anxiety
  • Increased heart rate
  • Increased blood pressure

Although Phen375 is said to be manufactured in labs compliant with cGMP in the United States, this does not mean that the product is effective for weight loss, nor does it mean that it is necessarily safe to take. Its ingredients list makes it important that you talk to your doctor before you start taking it.

At the time this review was written, a single bottle of Phen375, containing 30 tablets, costs $88.37 (on sale from $120.59). Assuming that this product is taken once per day, that’s quite a hefty monthly price tag.  Other diet pills are widely available with clinically researched ingredients and at a notably lower monthly price.
