Phentarmine Capsules

Phentarmine Capsules review
Our User Rating

Phentarmine capsules are an over-the-counter diet supplement. They are manufactured by GS Labs and are said to contain powerful ingredients that are rapidly absorbed by the body. The claim is that they suppress the appetite, increase energy and speed up the weight loss process. The goal of the Phentarmine formula is to quickly and effectively suppress hunger, so a person feels full for hours without the desire to eat.

Due to the fact that the name of this product is Phentarmine, it should come as no surprise that it is marketed as an all-natural and safe alternative to the prescription drug Phentermine. At the time that this review was written, Phentarmine was sold in both tablet and capsule forms, with each pill containing different ingredients. The focus of this review is on the ingredients of the capsule product. A one month (30 day) supply of Phentarmine capsules can be purchased online for $65.

Phentarmine Ingredients

The ingredients in the blue and white capsules include:

  • Umbrella Arum Seed Powder (Glucomannan),
  • Bitter Orange Fruit Extract
  • Lithium (as Lithium Orotate)
  • Black Pepper Fruit Extract

The four key substances that make up the Phentarmine Propriety Blend are believed to be effective for weight loss in the following ways:

Glucomannan – This is a sugar that is produced from konjac plant root. When ingested, it can absorb water, forming a bulky fiber, which can slow the absorption of sugar. Due to the fact that it expands when it absorbs water, it may also help to create a feeling of fullness.

Bitter orange extractBitter orange contains a stimulant called synephrine. It may provide a metabolism boost in some people and it also may offer some appetite suppression benefits. However, in terms of its efficacy, some research has found that it can act as a stimulant in some people while it doesn’t seem to have this effect on others. Likewise, it may cause stimulant-related effects in some people, but not in others. Essentially, more long-term studies need to be conducted on this herb to determine its true effects on the body and if it offers any real benefits to those seeking to lose weight.

Lithium orotate – this ingredient is said to help reduce anxiety and stress levels, two problems that can lead to high amounts of the “stress” hormone Cortisol in the body. Cortisol has been linked to fast weight gain in the body’s mid-section.

Black pepper fruit extract – This may boost metabolism and help the body burn fat at a quicker than average rate.

No Proof That it Works

There is no clinical evidence that proves Phentarmine will work as the manufacturer claims or that it will assist in weight loss. Furthermore, the substances contained within the formula have not been studied enough to determine how effective they are for weight loss in humans.

Due to the fact that his product does contain a stimulant, it is recommended that you do not take the capsules after 4pm as this can lead to insomnia. This diet supplement is not safe for everyone to take and may be unsafe for people with certain medical conditions, who are currently taking medications, or who are pregnant or breast feeding. It is strongly recommended that you first speak with your health care provider before taking these pills.

Update July 2020

Phentarmine continues to exist in the same capsule formula and packaging as mentioned in the above Phentarmine review. It is also sold for the same price ($65.00 for a one-month supply) and there are other ordering options available (e.g. multiple bottles can be purchased for a discounted price).

That said, it is worth mentioning that no major online retailers or marketplaces like Amazon sell this capsule diet pill or its tablet counterpart. It seems that it can be purchased online only from a site with the domain name phentarminedietpills. Since this website is a sales page for the product and doesn’t appear to be linked to any reputable manufacturer, it is hard to say if the content (including customer reviews) that has been included on this site is reliable. There is also no real way of knowing if it is a secure place for making an online purchase or if customer service is dependable should something go wrong.

Not a True Phentermine Alternative

Phentarmine is not a non-prescription phentermine alternative, even though both its tablet and capsule formulas have been marketed this way. It is important to understand as a consumer of OTC weight management aids that nonprescription phentermine and Adipex-P diet pills do not legally exist. There is no dietary supplement or OTC drug that has been FDA approved as an alternative to these prescription diet drugs. Therefore, take care to avoid buying into bogus claims.

It is far better to choose an OTC diet pill from a trusted company that uses quality, researched ingredients, but that doesn’t make weight loss promises or guarantees results. Furthermore, remember that even in the case of weight loss medications, diet, exercise and behavioral changes are a big part of losing and managing weight long-term.
